Chaos at the Krays' house

I'm way out of order here....but this was the calm before the storm last Friday when Kate was here while her Mommy had a doctor's appointment. I was on the drum. We were starting a band.

Fortunately, all other kids came with a mommy.

Kray Christmas

I'm a little behind on this. A few weekends ago, we celebrated Christmas with the Kray family. Ben is now (sort of) a present opening expert. :) He spent more time exploring Carl's toys and was very happy.

The boys received another homemade masterpiece from Nick's Dad. A very cool "animal" drum.

They played together with Carl's new sushi set.

Mr. Clean

As usual, I like to document anything Ben on this blog. I feel the need to capture an obvious personality trait he is showing these days. Ben likes things clean and neat and will be the first to tell you if something is out of place. If he says, "Uh oh," "Oh no," or "Uups," it pays to look because there is either a pretzel under the couch, a water bottle on its side, or the tiniest crumb on the floor. We also cannot get through a meal without him yelling for a napkin to wipe a small amount of food that has landed on his hands or face.

It's very cute and I've learned to trust him. If he's telling me something is out of place, then I better find it! Wish he was this way with his toys!! My house would be a lot cleaner. :)

Fireman Ben

SNOW!

It's awfully hard to vacuum when there's a 2 year old following you around.

So I'm counting this as Ben's first time REALLY out in the snow. Last year, he couldn't walk and wasn't really aware of the snow around him. We've been putting off the snow this year as he hasn't had the right boots... but today, I couldn't wait any longer. He did NOT like the gloves....but also, didn't like touching the snow. By the time he figured it all out....we were already heading inside. We'll have to go out again later or tomorrow!

Just wanted to document it that Ben said "I love you" both to me and Nick separately today. Best sentence ever! Of course it sounds more like "ah boov uuu." :)

New Year's Eve

We had a play date New Year's Eve day with a few of Ben's best pals, Brenna and Colin.

Then we spent New Year's Eve with the Wolf family. The boys loved the hats and blowers. We honored a 2011 countdown around 8 PM (for both the boys and for me since there was no way I was making it to midnight!).

Happy 2011! It's going to be a big year! :)
